Social Eating

Last night I went to a party, and was confronted with a common problem…what to eat when in a social situation? I was very hungry, and the snacky food was all stuff I have foresworn. But I had to eat something, so I had cheese and crackers and hoped that counted for protein and calcium if nothing else. Dinner was better though, because there was plenty of fresh fruit and some delicious tomatoes the host had grown himself. So I tried to fill up on that, although I confess I ate two homemade cookies. Today’s been better…not too much temptation, and when raspberries are so inexpensive I feel like I can have treats all day and not feel guilty!

Cupcake, walking 6 miles yesterday? And losing 5 pounds in a week? Is this a challenge to me? :)

    Not a challenge – unless you want it to be a challenge??!!!?? :)

    I think you made a very healthy choice, considering the circumstances. Cheese and crackers is usually fairly balanced – carb, protein, fat – and of course it’s gotta be better than some of the other snacky food that’s usually available!

  2. I love taking fresh fruit, like raspberries or grapes, and freezing them. It’s like a Popsicle, but healthier.
